Please fully charge your electronics and cellphones. Prepare your food, snacks, or drinks to bring with you as you enjoy a day on the river. We are pet-friendly, but for everyone’s safety and enjoyment, please keep your pets on a leash so everyone can have a pleasant experience.

Our riverside launch at 248 Walnut Street, Mont Clare, PA, has a convenient parking beside the house, making it quick to get from your car to the water. Most guests also like arriving a little early to relax on our property, take in the scenery, and ease into vacation mode before hitting the water.

A comfortable day on the water starts with a few essentials.

  • A Camera or Phone for Photos (Trust us. You’ll want a lot of pictures once you’re out on the river.)

Enjoy the Riverside Atmosphere

After spending time on the river, many visitors stay to rest on the property. You might find yourself resting in a hammock under the trees, grilling lunch with friends or family, or simply sitting along the riverbank enjoying the quiet scenery.

Dogs are welcome, too. However, guests should keep a close eye on pets near the water.

Other Helpful Information Before You Visit

At American Adventures Kayak, your safety always comes first. Weather or river conditions can occasionally affect trips, so we strongly recommend checking the forecast before you visit.

While there are no bathrooms on-site, nearby public restrooms are available at the parking lot by the trail entrance, as well as at Lock 29 and Fitzwater.
